5 Bible Verses for Strengthening Your Faith With Jesus

Uncategorized

The Bible says a lot about faith. Having faith in God and His love for us, could be argued as one of the most important ideas from the Bible. When you have faith, you completely trust and have full confidence in someone or something. Scripture mentions to have faith in God and to keep His commandments. Faith in God can be hard for people; others it can be easy. Regardless, it always important to work on faith, just like working out a muscle. These are 10 Bible verses that I find important regarding faith in God.

Bible Verses for Faith

John 3:36

“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.”

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life. We MUST fully believe in Jesus for eternal life. We cannot half-heartily believe. Above this, whoever rejects Jesus consequently sees no life. If we fully believe in God we would never consider rejecting His name. Live for Him. Breathe for Him. Die for Him.

John 7:38

“Whoever believes in me, as scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

In this verse, “Rivers of living water will flow from within them” – references the Holy Spirit flowing within them. For us to experiences this, we must fully believe in Him.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

“But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am WEAK, then I am STRONG.”

We simply don’t deserve God’s love. God is saying He knows we are weak, yet He is still allowing His grace to flow over our mistakes. We praise an amazing God – Don’t we??
Above this, it is important to note that we must turn to Him, so that Christ’s power can rest in us. Many times we start trying to search for answers in this world. The answers we need are from above. Having strong faith will result in knowing who to turn to; which is God.

James 2:19 (ESV)

“You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe – and shudder!”

Once again, don’t hold faith from God. Believe in God fully. Even demons believe in His name – yet tremble when they hear His name.

2 Corinthians 5:7

“For we live by faith, not by sight.”

I’m not sugar coating it, it can be a hard task to live by faith sometimes. However, that is why it is important to reference these verses.
“We live by faith, not by sight.” – Work on your faith every day. It is a muscle that need to be worked on too.
