How a Believer should view success 2019

Uncategorized

Success is the accomplishment of an aim or a purpose. It is important to have the correct view on success. We often correlate our wealth, possessions, adventures and more to success. These things are okay to have; however, we should not set this as our definition of success. Along with this, it puts barriers around our definition to succeed. How can we expect to succeed if we put an infinite cap on what success is? We start becoming afraid to succeed. If we correlate our success to God, then we can never fail. We have to sit down and set goals for what is important to us. As we do this, we need to align these goals to what God wants from us. Ask God to show us the way as we start our journey to accomplish these goals. “Show me your ways, Lord, Teach me your paths.” Psalm 25:4.

A Believer should never correlate success with money. A person might have a lot of money, but that tells us he is wealthy; not successful. Sometimes they might be wealthy, but they are also successful. A good example of this is the owners of Duck Dynasty. Not only are they millionaires, but they have a T.V. show that broadcasts our beliefs to millions of other people. They are reaching so many people everyday with the word of God.

Questions you should ask yourself:

Are you using the talents God gave you?

Are you setting goals that align with God?

Are you maturing further in Christ?

Are you bringing others closer to God?

Reminders that Help:

Having a simple reminder that keeps you focused on success as a Believer is extremely helpful. This could be something like a T-shirt, bracelet, necklace, etc.

Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you.
