Bible Verses for Hope

Bible Verses for emotions/situations

Have you ever been at a low point in your life. Things just weren’t going your way and you felt like you kept getting beat down. How did you know that wouldn’t last forever. It’s most likely that you had hope that things would get better. We all need hope. We all have a point in our life when we struggle with something. Hope means that we know God will make things better. The Bible speaks on hope a lot. When we put our Faith in Christ, we are acknowledging that we have hope in eternal life with Him. Having hope isn’t about wishful thinking, it is about believing. Everyone needs to be reminded that Christians are meant to have a lot of hope.

As C.S. Lewis says, “Hope is one of the Theological virtues. This means that a continual looking forward to the eternal world is not (as some modern people think) a form of escapism or wishful thinking, but one of the things a Christian is meant to do. It does not mean that we are to leave the present world as it is. If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were just those who thought most of the next.”

As you read through these Bible verses, encourage yourself and others. Hope is very important as a Christian and sometimes when life starts beating us down, we lose hope. After the Bible verses we have included a few quotes that pertain to hope. These may be beneficial to you as well.

Keep your hope on God – He will never fail you
